Mamping 2012

February 19-20, 2012-What is Mamping? Mamping is 'Man Camping.' It's not for the faint of heart. Guys set up their camp site, made their own meals, went on a long hike through the strong wind & some rain at Keaiwa Heiau Camp Site. Sometimes being a man means doing hard things. The main purpose (besides widdling sticks & hiking & having fun) was to understand that God created us with purpose and when we step out of God's purposes, our actions can be harmful to ourselves and others. Dads were welcomed to join the young men. Special thanks to all those who helped to make this a success!

Real men pray

What guy can't resist playing with sticks!?

Here's Ricky going to spear the wild pig....nah! jus' joke! We did see wild pigs though!

What a perfect place for a nap!

Of course, what guy can't resist jumping over a ditch?
Wow! Push ups on the cliff!

Ouch! Angel is on Makana's head!...no, it just looks like it

Chee hoo!

I wonder if he made it to the other side?

Doesn't it look like he's walking on a tight rope?
I'm so thirsty I will drink the water from this moss!
Me too!...tastes like moss

PuriTea 2012

February 18, 2012-The young ladies looked stunning and had a grand time together at the PuriTea. The ladies felt like queens as they were attended too by noble waiters. There was a lovely spread of delectable dishes from chocolate covered strawberries, to truffles, oreo cheesecake, heavenly cream puffs and a plethora of other delights. Sasha Rogness shared about the importance of guarding your heart and Halley Hobson shared why she is pursuing purity until God's timing for marriage. The young ladies made decisions to love Jesus with a passion and pursue purity. Symbolizing their commitment the girls were given purity rings and certificates and mothers were there to affirm their daughter's commitments.
